WHAT IS UNCREATEDNESS?
Uncreation, commonly referred to as being in a state of uncreatedness, comprises a significant element to what is termed as universal nature in the Millettarian cosmology with important consequences of the Astronist understanding of the nature, structure, and ontology of The Universe. Uncreatedness acts as a solution to the problem of the infinite nature of The Universe and its createdness.
To be uncreated is an ontological precept that is considered in Astronism to only be held by The Universe and refers to having not been created, but is still existent and is rather sustained. In Astronism, The Universe is considered to be infinite in its nature and subordinate to The Divine, however, something that is truly infinite in nature is without beginning, therefore it cannot have been created as nothing could have existed before it due to its own infiniteness.
To resolve this issue, the Omnidoxy proposed the notion of the uncreatedness of The Universe to hold that The Universe has always existed just as The Divine has, but that The Universe remains subordinate to The Divine due to its dependence upon The Divine for its sustainment. Alternatively, The Divine exists in total independence and does not require sustainment, hence demonstrating the superiority of The Divine over The Universe whilst still reaffirming the infinite nature of The Universe. Essentially, The Universe and The Divine are both infinite, however, The Universe could not exist without The Divine (Universal dependence) while The Divine could exist without The Universe (Divine independence).
Another solution to the problem of The Universe's createdness is proposed post-omnidoxically as linear infiniteness which states that The Universe did have a beginning and was indeed created by The Divine and does remain infinite in nature also due to the notion that The Universe was created for infiniteness. Therefore, although The Universe has not always existed due to its creation by The Divine, it was granted to exist externally and infinitely by The Divine from the moment of its creation.
