the two-pronged assertion stating firstly that finding just one instance of extraterrestrial life beyond the Earth equates to the abundance of extraterrestrial life of all degrees of intelligence existent in The Cosmos and secondly, that finding such life beyond the Earth will cause a chain reaction of events and implications namely with impact on astroncy, politics, philosophy and religion.

Astro-English: from Astronese, the term ignitionism makes use of the suffix -ism to denote a belief of some kind conjoined to the word ignition denoting “sparking the beginning of something”, altogether meaning in the context of astrosoteriology “the myriad of implications caused by the discovery of or the presumption of the existence of intelligent extraterrestrial life."
