ORIGINS AND ETYMOLOGY

Astro-English: from Astronese, the prefix cosmo- is used to denote “the astronomical world and its phenomena” and when conjoined to the word naturalism which denotes “a philosophy based on the occurrence of natural phenomena” comes to form the meaning of “a philosophy of astronomical phenomena.”
